IEEE EMBS BOOK SERIES

Sponsored by EMBS

Recent developments in science and biotechnology have prompted engineers, scientists and medical researchers to review their current programs in order to better prepare students for the future. However, these emerging technologies have not been adequately presented to medical engineers and researchers. Most of the published texts in these areas are either outdated or are on abstract levels. Therefore, they do not satisfy the current demands for teaching and research in biomedical engineering and science.

For this reason, there is an increasing demand for well written and prepared biomedical engineering and science textbooks in the current and emerging technologies.

In this series, we are interested in publishing textbooks on " Current and Emerging Technologies in Biomedical Engineering". We will cover a broad spectrum of textbooks in Engineering, Medicine and Biology. We would like to include textbooks which biomedical and electrical engineers, and medical researchers would find useful and relevant.

The focus of our series is to introduce these current and emerging technologies to biomedical engineering and science students and medical researchers; the content will encompass theory to practical implementation of these methods.

This series will foster interdisciplinary biomedical engineering and science education to satisfy the needs of industry and academia.
