My greetings to all the participants of the AMS Workshop. The topic is at the heart of what the NGS Program has set as the direction and scope dynamic and autonomic runtime support, and the AMS workshop provides a great forum to address and discuss the issues, the challenges, and the ideas to enable such capabilities. I regret that I'm not able to be there in person to hear the discussions, and I will read with great interest the proceedings. I want to express my appreciation for you the organizers and all those involved to make this happen.
