  • Akaroa is one of two Volcanos that Formed South of Christchurch on the Pacific
  • Mount Cook in the Southern Alps (Aoraki or Cloud Piercer in the Maori Language) is the tallest mountain in New Zealand and is one of the most rapidly rising mountains in the world. It is being pushed up by the Pacific Ring of Fire. The Southern alps were created by the collision of the Pacific Tectonic Plate with the Australian Tectonic Plate.
  • Queenstown, New Zealand is the premier world-class resort in the Southern Hemisphere, and the site where much of the Lord of the Rings Movies was filmed.
