Welcome to Vikram's Adda

This is me unusually staring away from the computer.

My name is Vikram R. Jamalabad. I was a post-doctoral associate at the Laboratory for Solid Freeform Fabrication of Advanced Ceramics (SFF/AC for short) at the Center for Ceramics Research at Rutgers University, Busch Campus, Piscataway, New Jersey. I now work at AlliedSignal Corporate Research and Tecnology, up in Morristown. Remember, it is one word, AlliedSignal, and there is only one Signal.

Prior to that, I was a doctoral graduate student at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering here, spending most waking hours at the Mechanical Engineering Computer Aided Design Laboratory (ME-CAD for short). I am also an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, India.

My areas of research and interest are Design Theory and Methodology, AI/Expert Systems applications to design problems, Optimization and Automation issues with regard to Solid Freeform Fabrication. Please click here for my professional background,
