Research Interests
I am a Human-Computer Interaction and Visualization researcher at the
VizLab research team
directed by Professor Deborah
Silver. I have done my work on the area of Human Computer Interaction
under the direction of Professor
Marilyn Tremaine.
My goal research is to produce knowledge and develop the next generation of
interfaces
and
interaction
techniques:
scalable,
ubiquitous and
accessible .

Scalable interfaces need to provide support to individuals with large
differences in abilities and previous experiences relevant to visualization
comprehension. I advocate the creation of training methods to help individuals
develop the strategies they needed to effectively understand visualizations.

- Computer-based visualizations are
ubiquitous in today's society and it
is fundamental to uncover the problems that emerge then different computer
platforms and visual representations are used in collaborative work.

Accessible interfaces must consider all the factors that affect
visualization comprehension in large and diverse populations. In my research,
I have identified salient properties that negatively affected the comprehension
of viewers with different levels of spatial abilities.
