ICAC 2005 Miscellaneous Announcements

STUDENT AUTHOR TRAVEL AWARDS
ICAC is pleased to announce availability of student author travel grants for the upcoming ICAC 2005 conference, June 13-16 in Seattle, WA, USA. The travel grants will consist of student registration to the conference and will partially reimburse travel and hotel costs. A student paper/poster is defined as one in which the principal (not sole) author is a student. The student will be required attend the conference and to present the paper/poster. To apply for a travel grant, please send the following via email to icac@caip.rutgers.edu by April 30, 2005.

  • A letter from the student describing his/her academic standing and interests, his/her expected graduation date and degree, advisor's name, and, if available, a URL for a working Web page. The student should indicate why attending the meeting would be useful for his/her research or career.

  • A one-page vita that includes the student's research interests, key projects and papers published.

  • A letter of recommendation from the student's advisor.

  • The title(s) of the paper(s)/poster(s) co-authored by the student and to be presented by the student at the conference.

POSTER PRESENTATION INSTRUCTIONS
Posters should be well focused, with a succinct visually-appealing description of their topic, general approach, and main results. Final posters should be approximately 3x4ft (or 1x1.25meters), preferably printed on a single sheet of paper, or composed of multiple smaller pieces that fit together within the aforementioned area.
