I used to be a graduate student in Electrical and Computer Engineering here at Rutgers. I did my Masters with Dr. Manish Parashar in the area of distributed systems. I did my undergradute in Computer Engineering from KREC, Surathkal (Karnataka Regional Engineering College). It is a beautiful place set in a pristine location by the western coast of southern India. I worked at Intel Research Labs in Portland, Oregon, and later out of the Santa Clara officebetween 2000 and 2003. In Nov 2003, I moved to the Mobile Platforms Architecture group, Intel India (Bangalore). Of late, I am dabbling around in the Ultra Mobility Group, working on low power platform architectures for ultra mobile platforms. My interests and areas of work at Intel have been in routing & signaling protocols for wired & wireless networks, networking architectures, standards (particularly IETF & NPF), network processors, protocol stacks for network processors. Of late I worked on QoS in wireless networks, and am currently working on low power wireless technologies & usage models for next generation mobile platforms.
