COMMENTS:

In this case, the exponent is coming to be very close to 0.33 in 1D and y-invariant case but in 2D case there is a sudden jump at time t=0.35 or so which increases the global slope. For time up to this time and after that the slope is around 0.38. In y-invariant and 2d case , width is being taken for a slice at y/ymax = 0.5.
