     Density profiles  for different cases  for a diffusing contact with initial speed  u0=1.5 for density ratio 0.14 in slow/fast case and 7.0 in fast slow case at time t=0.3

 

COMMENTS:

 In this case the point at which curves intersect are very close to the predicted value of (rho1+2*rho2)/3  both in fast/slow and slow/fast configuration as I pointed in the last reports. This verifies the fact that with the initial conditions Yanenko and Vorozhtsov used , this theory holds very well. In 2d case for fast slow configuration the result however is not so good. It seems in F/S configuration, something is going on in the code which gives oscillations near the contact and hence disturbing the density profile.
