I am a graduate assistant at The Applied Software Systems Lab (TASSL) of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) in Rutgers University. Zhen's advisor is Professor Manish Parashar.

My research interests include distributed and parallel computing, decentralized coordination infrastructure, peer-to-peer/Grid middlewares and applications, and autonomic computing. My major research projects include:

  • CometG decentralized computational infrastructure. This research involves the development of a new infrastructure for Internet deployment of parallel asynchronous iterative applications.

  • Comet distributed shared-space. The goal of this project is to develop a fully decentralized shared-space using DHT.

  • Failure resilient coordination. This project enhances Comet with wait-free object implementations to address failure resilience.

  • Agent-based autonomic composition framework. This research focuses on employing software agent framework and shared-space substrate for autonomic application compositions.
